Greetings FC3 family and friends:
It is not every year that we sense God calling us to a corporate fast; however, we feel He is calling us to launch the new year with a 21-day Daniel Fast beginning Sunday, January 7, 2024, to Saturday, January 27, 2024.  We are continuing in the season of “Moving Forward” seeking more effective ways of connecting and ministering within and outside the walls of the church.

Our prayer focus are in three specific areas:
  1. Our church
  2. The communities where we live individually and those we serve
  3. The educational institutions our children attend.

These three areas are the interconnecting core of society. They impact every aspect of the world we live in.

"Focus on the details of connecting with God rather than the details of the menu and you will discover the blessings of fasting."

-Pastor K

Prayer Walks

During this fast we are inviting our partners and anyone who would like to participate to conduct prayer walks in your community, around your children’s school and the churches in our communities. Prayer walking simply involves walking around your community (either alone or in a group) and praying for the places and people you see around you. God told Joshua: ‘I will give you every place where you set your foot’ (Joshua 1:3 NIV}. There is something powerful and significant about making our prayers physical: expressing our longings for places by going and standing there to pray.
Guidelines for Prayer Walk
1. Prepare your heart. Ask God to guide, direct, lead and impress upon you with ways to pray.
 2. Walk and pray discreetly, individually or in pairs, “Not to be seen, but to see.”
 3. Invite God to help you see true spiritual needs of people who need a breakthrough.
 4. Be sensitive to the thoughts and ideas God may be speaking to your heart.
 5. Invite the presence of God to be made known wherever you walk.

What is the Daniel Fast?

The Daniel Fast involves a physical and spiritual commitment to God. Simply stated, biblical fasting is refraining from food for a spiritual purpose. (Daniel 1:8 - “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank...”). (Daniel 10:2-3 - “In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.”) It is one of the most common types of fasts.
