Karen V. Johnson, D.Min, Senior Pastor, co-founded First Christian Community Church in 1991 with her husband the late Apostle Richard Johnson, III. Beginning with only eight people, the congregation has grown to over 600 members.
Glenton D. Queen
Lead Pastor
Pastor Glenton Queen received his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 17. He had always loved going to church. However, he was in the church but the church was not in him.
James DeCoster
Executive Pastor
In his role as Executive Pastor, Pastor DeCoster ensures the operational readiness of FC3 through leadership and oversight of the support and contracted staff performing duties in administration, finance, human resources, facilities management, and property management.
Wyseola Smith
Church Administrator
As the Administrative Assistant, Ms. Smith is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as providing support to the church leadership as needed. She maintains the church’s master calendar and the Lead Pastor and Assistant Pastor’s meeting schedules
Min. Daphne Ryans
Ministry Liasion
Min. Daphne serves as the Ministry Liaison, or Chief of Staff, for all of FC3. She is the administrator who ensures that the guidance and ministry objectives of the Senior Pastor and Pastoral Staff is carried out by the appropriate Ministry Units. She keeps this place running!
Angela Belt and Cherese Queen
Family Life Council Coordinators
As Chairs of the Family Life Council, Angela Belt and Cherese Queen help to provide guidance and lead the team through budgeting, planning, and executing events targeting the family unit as one vs individuals, including men, women, children, and young adults. These events are planned with families in mind, working on the health of the mind, body, and spirit to establish a long-lasting legacy that can effectively change our community.
Min. Erika Johnson
Youth Minister
As Youth Minister, Min. Erika is responsible for planning and executing educational and social events for our young ones. She workings in conjuction with our Christian Education, Worship, and Family Life Councils to find ways to help our youth learn about Christ and to be nutured in a safe, loving and affirming community.
Denice Neal
Master Teacher
The role of the Master Teacher is to the be the Teacher of the teachers. Ms. Neal, as head of our Christian Education Council, not only sets the circulum for Bible and Life Studies but she trains all teachers in how to be more effective educators.
Min. Kim Harris
Ministor to Pastoral Care and Bereavement, Sick and Shut-in
As Minister to Pastoral Care and Bereavement, Minister Kim oversees and works closely with the Compassionate Care Team, to provide Spiritual and Emotional support to FC3 members who are experiencing grief as the result of losing a loved one or a significant other. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to ensuring the well being of those dealing with grief, visiting the sick and shut-in, and assisting families with making final preparations.
Min. Kim Henson
Ministers Unit Team Lead and New Members and Assimilation Coordinator
Min. Kim is the instructor for the new partners who join FC3, teaching them about our beliefs and church structure. She is the ministry lead for the Isaiah Minister's Unit. Assists in overseeing pastoral care of the congregation, including facilitating training and development sessions. She is also a part of the Intercessory Prayer unit.
D.C. Gaylee Jones
Decision Counselors Coordinator
As the Coordinator for the Decision Counselors, Ms. Jones oversees a team of Decision and Commitment Counselors. The counselors assist partners and visitors making a first-time commitment to Jesus or the assurance of their salvation, church membership, rededicating themselves to ministry, and baptism. If a request is made outside of the scope of the duty as a Decision Counselor, a referral to the appropriate ministry may be provided.
Selina Holmes
Communications Coordinator
Selina is the voice of FC3. Anytime you listen to the church news, Selina is the voice of the announcements. Selina is responsible for communicating leadership initiatives from the FC3 leadership to our partners.
Sharon Owens
Ezekiel Outreach Ministry and Food Pantry
As the coordinator of the First Christian Community Church Outreach Ministry who follows the vision of our leadership; in which has been supporting the lighthouse shelter for over 30 plus years of serving and feeding the homeless. In 2020 this ministry made a significant difference by opening a church food pantry to provide food and supplies. Other duties are to Organize donations, volunteers, to help those in need in our surrounding communities..
Charles "Bruce" Belt
Communications Council Chairperson
Bruce has been a faithful member and FC3's soundtech since the late 90s. He is the chairperson of the Communication Council and overseas the implementation of our Audio/Visual ministries and the installation of sound and video equipment. Through Bruce's teams, our partners are able to engage in live streamed services and in house worship.
